External collaborators¶
Kindly follow below steps needed for the HPC collaboration:

The collaborator needs to fill it and sign it.
The NYUAD PI’s signature is also required.
It should be sent back to us with all required information.(jubail.admins@nyu.edu)
A NetID may be requested/reactivated by the sponsor using this page (Make sure you are connected to NYU VPN)
Date of birth and mobile number of the collaborator is required.
Collaborator needs to request a new HPC account following the steps below, on this page and get the sponsor’s (NYUAD PI)’s approval.
Collaborator needs to go through the HPC Trainig and pass the Quiz.
Opening a New Account¶
Follow the instructions this page to request an new account on the HPC.
Ask your sponsor to approve the request. Follow the instructions in this page to approve account request.
You needs to go through the HPC Trainig and pass the Quiz to get full access to computing resources.
Renewing an Existing Account¶
Follow the instructions in this page to request and renewal of your account on HPC.
Ask your sponsor to approve the request by following the instructions in this page to approve your account request.
Note
Users need to renew their account every year.
Account Lifecycle¶
When you request or renew an HPC account, it is valid for one year. After this period, the account enters a series of states if not renewed, each with specific access permissions and data retention policies. The account will have a state of the following: Active, Suspended, Archived, and Deleted where the following table summarizes them and their descriptions:

Note
You can request account reactivation within the 6-month period by following the instructions in this page. If your NetID remains unchanged, your data will be restored to your account. Otherwise, data migration to a new account may be required.
